Ukulele Outpost is run by us, Matthew Lyon & Christine Dickinson. We’re lifelong musicians and educators who have recorded five award-winning albums of instrumental music. We’ve fallen under the spell of the ukulele… the best little instrument on the planet, so we’ve set up Ukulele Outpost to help supply our students, friends and the general public with quality ukuleles and related gear.
Why “Ukulele Outpost”? We’re in St Ignatius, Montana… literally on the frontier of the uke world! St Ignatius was a center of trading between native peoples and fur traders in the 1800s, with two old “trading posts” surviving to this day. In that tradition, we’re bringing some of the best instruments available to the people of the region, and beyond…
